About Us: A Mother-Daughter Journey
Bubby was born out of a beautiful accident – a serendipitous collaboration between a mother and daughter united by their love for their children and their passion for creating products that make life easier for parents everywhere.
It all started when my daughter, Sarah, had her first child. As a new mother, she quickly realized how challenging it could be to find high-quality, practical products that met her baby's needs and fit seamlessly into her lifestyle. As a mother myself, I knew exactly how she felt – I had faced the same struggles when raising her and her siblings.
One day, as we were discussing the lack of truly innovative baby products on the market, an idea struck us: why not create our own? With Sarah's fresh perspective as a new mom and my decades of experience as a parent and grandmother, we knew we had the perfect combination of insights and skills to bring something truly special to the world of baby products.
We started small, tinkering with designs and materials in our own homes, creating products that we wished we had when our own children were young. Our first creation was the Bubby retractable baby gate – a product born out of Sarah's frustration with the bulky, inconvenient gates she had tried and my determination to find a solution that would keep my grandchildren safe without compromising on style or ease of use.
To our surprise and delight, the Bubby gate was an instant hit with our family and friends. We knew we had stumbled upon something special – a product that could truly make a difference in the lives of parents and babies everywhere.
From that moment on, Bubby grew from a small, family-run operation to a thriving company dedicated to creating innovative, high-quality baby products that combine the very best of our generational wisdom and modern design sensibilities.
